Enjoy family programming on Mondays, beginning on the second Monday in September.
Funday Monday is open to children of all ages; however, those who haven’t yet started school are particularly encouraged to attend. There will be music, movement, storytelling, performances, crafts, and more.
All performances and programs begin at 10:30 a.m. and — unless otherwise noted — are held at Old Town Hall, 3999 University Drive, Fairfax. You can find ample parking in Old Town Fairfax, and stroller access is available at the rear of Old Town Hall (on Route 236/Main Street).

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS:
KNIT AND CROCHET FOR THOSE IN NEED
Local artist Debra Wright, in cooperation with The City of Fairfax, Virginia, and in conjunction with The Sherwood Center, is pleased to extend this open call to service.
We are seeking individuals of all ages to fabricate scarves for the homeless community in the Washington metropolitan area. Prior to distribution, the scarves will appear online on the Commission of the Arts Facebook page.

Award winning world percussion fusing American jazz, world music, and funk converses with spellbinding virtuosity and Chinese folk melodies.
A Cathedral Brass Christmas 2020

The Cathedral Brass will celebrate Christmas with a musical journey that explores the many facets of this beloved holiday.
Featured works include Anthony DiLorenzo's Fum Fum Fum, Vince Guaraldi's O Tannenbaum (from the television special “A Charlie Brown Christmas”), and LeRoy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival, jazz settings of traditional Christmas carols, including Go Tell It on the Mountain, Little Drummer Boy, and Greensleeves, and other holiday favorites. The concert features Roger Rossi, former trumpet soloist for the Army Blues, and the Cathedral Brass trombone section.
Founded in 1983 by Ray and Sharyl Abell, The Cathedral Brass is dedicated to high quality performance of unique sacred and secular music for the enjoyment of greater Washington DC audiences. The Cathedral Brass is based at Vienna Presbyterian Church and is led by Dr. L. Thomas Vining (conductor and Director of Worship at VPC) and by Dr. Dereck Scott (associate conductor and director of bands at Flint Hill School). The Cathedral Brass performs at VPC and throughout the area with a 22-person large ensemble, a trombone quartet, a brass quintet, and a jazz combo.
